Folkin’ Farmers

Created for Stockport Old Town Folk festival in 2016 an entertainment performed by The Circus House CIC.

Three impulses. One: The long history of the marketplace. Two: The disconnection of the town to farming as industrial urbanisation took hold. Three: Imagining a dystopian future market place, where farmers, cows and geese, and seasonal folk traditions are dim memories and have to be reimagined for entertainment.
