The Magnificent Menagerie of Mrs Strange!

An outdoor spectacle created for ‘Live at Lyme’ for The National Trust at Lyme Park in 2017.

Three impulses. One: The importance of the Regency period to the story of the house. Two: Narratives around the importation of animals from colonised countries during the 18th century. Three: The legacy of human progress as evident in the endangered species making up this strange menagerie.

Fantastic, visually delightful but so entertaining too!
